North Ogden, Utah Schools: A Parent's Guide to Every School Serving North Ogden
North Ogden sits at the foot of Ben Lomond Peak, and nearly all its schools are right in town. Every home in North Ogden is in Weber School District, and the city's assigned high school is Weber High, just across the line in Pleasant View. What sets North Ogden apart is its two dual language immersion paths, where students learn much of their day in a second language. Chinese (Mandarin) starts at Bates Elementary and continues at North Ogden Junior High. Spanish starts at Majestic Elementary and continues at Orion Junior High. Both paths carry on at Weber High. North Ogden is also home to Maria Montessori Academy, a tuition-free charter school.
North Ogden has four elementary schools and two junior highs, so two homes a few blocks apart can go to different schools. This guide lists every school option serving North Ogden, with the grades, address, and website for each, plus answers to the questions parents ask me most.
School information was checked with Weber School District, the Utah State Board of Education, federal school data, North Ogden City, and each school's own website in September 2026. Boundaries and programs can change, so always confirm with the school before you buy or enroll.

Parent FAQ: Schools and Buying a Home in North Ogden
Which schools will my North Ogden home go to?
It depends on the address. North Ogden has four elementary schools and two junior highs: North Ogden Junior High and Orion Junior High in Harrisville. So two homes a few blocks apart can go to different schools. North Ogden's high school is Weber High. Always check the specific address before you make an offer.
How can I check which schools a specific address feeds into?
Use Weber School District's Boundary Maps page and its bus stop locator, or call the district at 801-476-7800. Don't rely on the school names in an online listing, because those are often out of date. When you're buying with me, I'll confirm the assigned schools with the district before you write an offer.
How does dual language immersion work here?
Students spend part of each school day learning in a second language, starting in the early grades. In North Ogden, Bates Elementary offers Chinese (Mandarin), which continues at North Ogden Junior High. Majestic Elementary offers Spanish, which continues at Orion Junior High. Both continue at Weber High. Spots are limited and you apply through the district, usually in the spring before the school year starts. Check Weber School District's Dual Language Immersion page for current dates.
Can my child attend a school outside our boundary?
Yes. Utah law allows open enrollment. In Weber School District, the early application window runs from November 15 through the first Friday in February, and you apply at the school you'd like to attend. Approval depends on space, you provide your own transportation, and you commit for the full school year. Charter schools have their own applications and lotteries.
Are any North Ogden schools changing?
Weber School District is reviewing enrollment at its elementary schools. In December 2025, the school board ordered an independent review of all district elementary schools. No North Ogden school closures or boundary changes have been announced. If you're buying for a specific school, watch the district's announcements, and I'll help you check before you buy.
How does school choice affect home values in North Ogden?
Many families shop for homes by their assigned school, and some buyers look specifically for the Bates or Majestic immersion programs. That can affect how much interest a home draws. Open enrollment and nearby charter options give families flexibility, so a boundary line isn't the only factor. When you're pricing or buying a home, I'll pull recent sales on both sides of the boundary so you can see what the numbers actually show. I won't rely on assumptions.
What should I ask when touring a school?
Ask about class sizes, after-school activities, bus routes, and before- and after-school care. For immersion programs, ask how many seats open each year. At the high school level, ask about AP and concurrent enrollment classes. Most schools are happy to set up a visit. Just call the front office.
Thinking About a Move to North Ogden?
Finding the right home often starts with finding the right school. I live nearby in Farr West, and I've lived in Northern Utah for more than 40 years. I can help you compare neighborhoods, confirm school assignments, and find homes that fit your family.
